Sullivans Cove French Oak Cask Strength HH0511

$1,880.00

There is rare Sullivan’s Cove (The circa 2014 French Oaks), and there is extremely rare Sullivan’s Cove. This would definitely fall into the Extremely rare bucket.

Make no mistake, this is a Sullivan’s Cove French Oak Cask Strength release dating back to the Highlands Holdings era and bottled in 2011 years before the world learnt about Sullivan’s Cove and when Patrick Maquire was still hand signing bottles. A bottle like this doesn’t come along very often and as tempted as I was to crack this open and try my 1st HH Sullivan’s Cove French Oak Cask Strength, I’ve decided to offer the offer this out. Bottled at a whopping 60%, it’s an absolute 1 of a kind find.

Sullivan’s Cove French Oak Single Tawny Cask Tasmanian single malt whisky has become a legend in its own right, one of the most sought after whiskies in the world, and the bottle that put the Australian whisky industry on the map after winning World’s Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards in 2014.

Aged in 300L French oak casks previously used to mature Australian tawny port-style fortified wine, this whisky has rich flavours of Christmas spice, chocolate, dried fruit and complex oak. As a single cask bottling, every tiny batch is different, expressing the unique characteristics of each barrel.
