Bowmore 1979 Bicentenary
Another Bowmore grail bottle released in 1979 and containing liquid from Bowmore’s legendary 1950s and 1960s archives. This comprises of 19-29 Year aged Bowmore liquid from the absolute best era of Bowmore and arguably, of Whisky.
WhiskyBase has a 93.47 rating out of 100 after 110 ratings. This rating should actually be much higher, however the score is lowered due to the reviews from bottles tasted after cork leakage.
Comes in the original box with the original paperwork and spare cork to use after opening. This particular bottle has signs that it has been kept extremely well (upright) and shows little to no signs of wax degradation which was a know flaw in the design of the seal of this bottling. A close up photo of the wax seal is pictured and from our opinion, this bottle is kept in excellent condition, however, due to the design flaw, we cannot make any guarantees on the of the cork condition and is highly likely to have a deteriorated cork after 45 years.
