Bottled most likely in the mid 80s, this sensational Caol Ila liquid was bottled by the legendary Italian Sesante independent bottlers. With distillation estimated in the late 60’s, this is undoubtably the peak of vintage whisky and unfortunately, I cannot tell you alot about the tasting notes of this bottle as there arent any I can find. The closest is a similar 18 year old bottling of the same series which has a whopping 93.50 score on Whiskybase. If you are looking for something in the vintage peat range that’s not only unique, but almost guaranteed to be a winner, this is it.
